A 29 year old Burley man will spend at least 35 years in prison for the first degree murder of a Jerome man.  Antonio Jacob Gallegos was sentenced yesterday for the murder of 48 year old Carl Yager on May 18 2022.  Police say he and his cousin met with Yager to pay off drug debts.    



A mid-air collision of two planes west of the Arco Airport has claimed the life of one of the pilots.  Authorities say it happened just after noon yesterday.  Both planes were crop dusters.  The other pilot was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. 



Water access from Pillar Falls to the Twin Falls dam along the Snake River remains closed.  Officials say the discovery of an adult mussel near Shoshone Falls pool prior to last fall's treatment makes this a critical location in determining the presence of quagga mussel.  Water access between Broken Bridge and Pillar Falls is accessible only during Centennial Park operating hours.



Lottery players in Idaho should check their wallets and drawers for old tickets. Someone won $10,000 from a million dollar Raffle ticket bought in Nampa last fall.  The lottery player will lose out on the money if they don’t claim it at the Boise office by 5:30 p.m. June 24.  The winning numbers were 079535.



Emergency rescue workers were on scene around the Perrine Bridge last night after a BASE jumper was injured after a hard landing.  Authorities say they were called to the bridge around 8:30.  The victim was transported out of the canyon by helicopter.  Medical workers said his condition wasn’t critical.



Two men from eastern Idaho will be spending time in prison after being sentenced on drug trafficking.  36 year old Fredy Munoz Morales a Mexican national was sentence to 12 an a half years in federal prison for distributing meth.  Seven pounds of Meth was discovered in his possession.  In a separate case, 40 year old Gabriel Lopez of Idaho Falls was sentenced to 9 years for distributing meth.  During a search, 329 grams of meth along with Cocaine and Marijuana was seized.
