A months-long legal battle between Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is over at least for now. Court documents show a judge dismissed IDHW's lawsuit against the AG's office. The lawsuit asked the court to set aside Civil Investigative Demands the AG's office served various childcare organizations and Health and Welfare.


Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane is saying that his office cannot enforce the Idaho Republican Party’s new party rule requiring voters to affiliate with the GOP by Dec. 30 in order to vote in the party’s upcoming primary election. Instead of enforcing political party rules, McGrane said his office is required to follow Idaho law, which sets the deadline for changing party affiliation at 67 days before the primary election.


Idaho state attorneys on Wednesday filed a motion to the Fremont District Court to reconsider moving Chad Daybell's court location back to Fremont County or a closer county due to jury concerns. They claim the extensive coverage is concerning because jurors have the potential to be biased. They argue the residents of Fremont County would be less biased with less coverage.


MiQuavis Taylor has been arrested in Ada County. He was wanted by police following a

shooting in the Target parking lot Wednesday night.


Police say a Twin Falls man was shot and killed yesterday morning just before 2. It happened in the 800 block of Capri Drive. The homeowner heard a disturbance outside his home and confronted an individual inside his vehicle. The suspect fled in a white truck. The 32 year old victim identified as Fred Rodriquez died.


After extensive work with local partners, the Bureau of Land Management finalized the second of five plans that taken together will define a comprehensive system of existing motorized routes through Owyhee County. The BLM designated 1,089 route miles as open for motorized vehicles, providing access to 677,000 acres of BLM-managed public land.
