A small airplane crash landed near the Burley airport Saturday afternoon leaving the pilot injured.  It happened around 12:40 pm.  Authorities said the pilot was forced to crash land the plane at Burley's airport after the aircraft suffered oil pressure failure. He was the plane's only occupant. The plane landed at the airport but continued off the runway and through a fence before coming to a stop outside of Snake River Sports and Marina.   The plane was flying from Edmonton Canada to Mexico.


A 24 year old female from Murtaugh along with 4 passengers were injured when the car they were in failed to negotiate a curve along U.S. 30 near Buhl late Friday night.  The roadway was blocked for about 30 minutes. 


Idaho governor Brad Little has asked all US and State flags fly at half-staff until tomorrow to honor Capt. Benjamin Moulton of Emmett.  He along with 4 other marines was killed last week when their helicopter crashed in Southern California. 


Idaho State police made a large drug bust last Thursday near Pocatello.  Police say they found 5 and a half pounds of Meth and 3000 fentanyl pills inside a spare tire.


Idaho Republican state legislators advanced several bare-bone budgets Friday, in an apparent endorsement of a new budget process playing out in the powerful Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee that has now spilled onto the House and Senate floors.  Rep. Greg Lanting of Twin Falls voted against the public school budget saying it would cut education by

quite a bit.


An Idaho state representative wants to build out the state’s law against cannibalism over fears that the composting of human remains could lead to humans consuming other humans. Republican Heather Scott floated a bill that would make it illegal to serve “the flesh and blood of another human being” to someone who does not know or consent to it.


A semi crash Saturday morning blocked both eastbound lanes of I-86 traffic.  The accident happened near American Falls when the semi struck some ice and rolled.
