One person died following a multi-car crash yesterday afternoon near Heyburn.  Policed say just after Noon, a semi failed to yield to slowing traffic in the construction zone of I-84.  The semi collided with three pickups, a SUV and a passenger car.  Westbound traffic was blocked for over five hours.



The Minidoka school district is calling a special board meeting on Monday.  Discussion according to the agenda will be to declare a financial emergency and to discuss a reduction in employees.  The meeting will be at 6 pm at the district service center in Rupert.

Tomorrow the Idaho fish and game will celebrate 125 years of service.  An event is set for the Twin Falls City Park with games, food, demonstrations on how to use bear spray.



A clerical error in the Chad Daybell hearing sent tensions high in an Ada County courtroom yesterday.  Less than an hour after state prosecutors rested their case in Daybell's triple murder trial, the judge dropped a bombshell regarding an error identified in the murder indictment, potentially altering the direction, and therefore outcome, of the case.  Court documents reflected incorrect dates on count four of the indictment, which is the first-degree murder charge for JJ Vallow.



The woman who faces charges in the December murder of Twin Falls men has agreed to plead guilty.  40 year old Angelica Martinez reportedly will enter the plea to accessory to murder.  Prosecutors will recommend a fixed 5 year prison sentence.  Martinez was arrested in Phoenix five days after the Dec. 1 double murder of tint shop owner Jesse Ortiz and Jaime Bravo Rodriguez, and eventually admitted to police that she drove two men to the business on Kimberly Road, but didn’t know their true identities.



The Idaho Transportation Board approved a resolution yesterday to begin next steps to enhance Magic Valley regional mobility including consideration of a third Snake River crossing near Twin Falls.  ITD was approved to utilize up to $9 million to initiate recommendations presented based on a feasibility study developed with stakeholder interviews, traffic evaluations, design reviews.
