In-N-Out Burger has been denied the permit needed to move forward with the new location recently proposed in Twin Falls.  The new location would have replaced Outback Steakhouse. The permit, however, was denied last night by Planning and Zoning.



A Twin Falls woman was killed in a head on collision on U.S. 93 yesterday afternoon.  Police say a 37 year old woman was southbound near milepost 38 when she crossed the center line and collided with a semi-truck.  The road was shut down for about 3 hours while crews worked to clear the accident. 



The city of Twin Falls Parks and Recreation department is looking for your thoughts on redesigning the current skate park at Harmon Park.  The department is working to make it more safe and accessible.  The open house will be tomorrow starting at 5.  The city’s website has details. 



A 62-year-old man convicted of killing two people near Kendrick in 1999 has won an appeal and will see his case remanded to Latah County Second District Court by the Idaho Supreme Court. In 2000, Dale Shackleford was convicted by a jury of killing his ex-wife, 44-year-old Donna Fontaine, and her boyfriend, 59-year-old Fred Palahniuk and then burning their bodies in a garage to cover up the murders.  He is serving two life sentences.



Crews are almost done building a temporary route around a landslide that closed a vital road for thousands of workers between Idaho and Jackson Hole Wyoming. Workers hope to open it up this Friday. The road over Teton Pass near the Idaho state line has been closed since the landslide sent both lanes crashing into a deep ravine June 8.



A Boise man with white supremacist ties has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm charge in North Carolina. The charge stemmed from his participation in a group that discussed targeting the power grid in Idaho and conducted live-fire training near Boise.  29 year old Jordan Duncan pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the manufacturing of a firearm as charged in superseding criminal information filed in the Eastern District of North Carolina.  This crime carries a maximum punishment of 10 years in federal prison.
