There are currently heat warnings or advisories in place for eight states, as an extremely dangerous heatwave continues in the West.  The hottest temperatures are expected today and tomorrow, with tonight being the warmest night.  Wednesday, highs will hit 108.



It's nothing new, but a recent report conducted by the U of I revealed that unauthorized immigrants play an important role in the state's economy.  Out of over 10 million in the US, around 35,000 live in Idaho working in Agriculture.



Just after midnight last Wednesday, ISP troopers responded to Power Plant Rd in Elmore County after a 911 caller reported a female tied to the railroad tracks had been run over. Arriving troopers located a 20-year-old woman, who was not tied to the railroad tracks, had sustained serious injuries. Troopers believe there was an argument at the location. Two women got into a vehicle and struck the third as they drove away. The driver, a 20-year-old Buhl


woman, was arrested for DUI.   The vehicle's passenger, a 21-year-old Wendell woman, wasb arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.



The Twin Falls Police Department is actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying both a male and female that left the scene of a shooting that occurred last Wednesday, at 7:22 p.m.   The shooting occurred in the parking complex of the Fawnbrook Apartments, which led to the death of 35-year-old Miguel Lawrence Garza.  



A short police chase Thursday evening in Twin Falls left a trail of vehicles damaged and one person arrested.  Police say they spotted a reckless driver exiting the centennial grade at high speed.  The driver identified as 27 year old Brandon Thomas of Twin Falls, struck several vehicles before hitting the retaining wall near Starbucks on Bridgeview Boulevard.  He was charged with DUI, Reckless driving, eluding, battery on officers and several counts of hit and run. 



A woman is dead following a trailer fire in Rigby.  It happened yesterday around 11:15 a.m. on 4200 East. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office found a motor home in flames.  Authorities found a dead woman inside the home.
