Chad Daybell was sentenced to death in the “doomsday cult” triple-murder case after he was found guilty on all counts.  A jury on Saturday determined that the 55 year old Daybell, should die for the murders of his first wife and Lori Vallow‘s two children.  Daybell showed no emotion when the sentence was read.



The Idaho Transportation Department campus in Boise was never properly put up for sale, House Speaker Mike Moyle argues in new court filings this week that also indirectly accuse Gov. Brad Little of colluding to undermine the Attorney General and the Legislature in the high-profile lawsuit.  The Idaho Transportation Department vacated its historic Boise headquarters in January 2022, in a move that was accelerated after a flood damaged all three floors of the main building.



Idaho Power has filed for a rate increase with the IPUC.  They hope to raise the base rate by 99.29 million or 7-point 31 percent.  The company said the average monthly bill will go up by 7 dollars and 31 cents. 



An absurd situation.  That’s what The Idaho Groundwater Appropriators are saying.  They are an organization representing farmers within the nine groundwater districts in eastern Idaho are speaking out after the Idaho department of water resources ordered a curtailment last week.  The order would dry up hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland and could mean hundreds of millions of economic loss for the gem state.



A 76 year old Kimberly was killed after being struck by a vehicle yesterday afternoon.  Police say it happened just after 5 pm at the intersection of 3400 east and 3400 north in Twin Falls County The man was southbound when he failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a westbound car driven by a 37 year old male from Oakley. 



54 year old Richard Corey Fox and 61 year old Angelina Larae Norton of Idaho Falls, were sentenced to over ten years combined for distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine in eastern Idaho.  During a traffic stop, law enforcement seized an ounce of methamphetamine and a large amount of U.S. currency.  Shortly thereafter, a separate vehicle in which Norton was a passenger was stopped and three-quarters of a pound of methamphetamine was seized.
