The trial for Bryan Kohberger, charged in the deaths of 4 University of Idaho students, could begin soon.  The judge has scheduled a June 27th hearing to discuss the schedule for the rest of the case including dates for the trial and possible sentencing. 



Idaho drivers have more good news at the pump this week.  According to AAA, today’s average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the Gem State is $3.58, which is six cents less than a week ago, 25 cents less than a month ago, and 40 cents less than a year ago.  Meanwhile, the national average currently sits at $3.45 per gallon.  Idaho has fallen out of the top ten, now ranking 13th in the country for most expensive fuel.



World Refugee Day celebrations will take place this weekend in Twin Falls.  It’s an international day designated by the United Nations to honor refugees around the globe every year.  The events are free and open to the public. It will be Friday at the Twin Falls Downtown Park starting at 6.



CSI will break ground for the new Jerome center this morning at 11.  The event will be at the where construction will soon begin at the corner of 3rd and North Lincoln.    



The Highway 30 music Fest is set to begin tomorrow and run through Saturday.  The event is at the Filer fairgrounds and the four day event will feature many artists including Chase Rice, Morgan Wade and Shane Smith and the Saints.



This week is also the national old-time fiddlers contest and festival in Weiser.  The event is in its 71st year and will be held at the Weiser High School Auditorium.



Firework stands are starting to pop up in the valley. In Twin Falls the city reminds residents that only safe and sane fireworks may be discharged within the city limits from 8 am to midnight between this Sunday thru Friday July 5th. The city will light off a fireworks display at the College of Southern Idaho on Thursday July 4th at around 10 pm.
